Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores - The Stars in Their Eyes - Bunker

I worked on the concept art, look-dev, environment art, and set dressing for “The Stars in Their Eyes” main quest. The first part of this mission is an underground settlement that was dressed by the talented Myriam Dufrier. Meanwhile, I worked on the second half of the mission, which is more of a traditional main quest. I focused most of my efforts here during the pre-production phase of the project. This allowed me to go beyond my usual role as an environment artist and branch out into other disciplines. I did the concept art for my spaces and the holograms, while also working closely with Cho-Yan Wong on the design-layout of the area. Bastiaan van Bentum also did an amazing job involving music-production early on. Because of this, I feel like we were able to sell the narrative and emotional beats of this mission quite effectively. I’m particularly proud of the big reveal of Londra’s spaceship in the Ascension hall.
